This Adorable Short Explores The Magic Of Young Queer Love

"The Curse of the Un-Kissable Kid" stars Lee Meriwether and Drew Droege.

A new short film explores the innocence and wonder of a gay teenager's first kiss.

"The Curse of the Un-Kissable Kid" comes from director Mark Marchillo and tells the story of Joshua, a 14-year-old teen who's struggling with bullying and his sexuality.

Things get even more complicated when Joshua encounters a psychic at a local carnival who gives him a magic potion guaranteed to help him make more friends. However, once he downs the concoction, it's revealed that it'll make him disappear in 24 hours unless he's able to experience true love's kiss.

He and his best friend Caitlyn go on a mad dash to find his perfect partner, but wind up defeated when all the girls he smooches leave the curse unbroken. In a last ditch effort, they set up a kissing booth, which is eventually visited by Caitlyn's neighbor Harry.

Once Joshua meets Harry, that's when the true magic begins.

The short stars William Leon in the leading role with great support from Liv Southard (Caitlyn), Lee Meriwether (psychic), Christopher Bone (Harry) and Drew Droege (principal).
