Drunk Ex-Cop Leaves Gun In Gay Bar Bathroom: Today In Gay

Retired NYPD Detective Eric Reynolds was getting his drink on at Phoenix in the East Village when he felt the urge to purge. Once inside the men's room, he put his Colt .38 revolver on the bathroom sink and bowed to the porcelain god.

Reynolds was such a mess, though, that he stumbled out of the bar without retrieving his gun.

He actually went back into the restroom to get his cellphone, which he also left on the counter, but neglected to grab the firearm. By the time he realized what he'd done and went back for the pistol, it was gone.

“We all make mistakes. Maybe he had been drinking. He made a mistake,” an unnamed staffer told The New York Post. “Maybe he shouldn’t have brought a gun with him.”

Ya think?

Speaking of cops, a photo of a Virginia police officer kissing his boyfriend in front of the Westboro Baptist Church protest at Capital Pride last weekend has gone viral.

Mark Raimondo posted a photo of him kissing his boyfriend, Arlington, Virginia, police officer D.J. Stalter, on Instagram, where the WBC found it and tweeted it out.

You're damn right we do!

Barack Obama and daughtersPresident Obama included gay dads in his annual Father's Day proclamation:

With encouragement and unconditional love, fathers guide their children and help them envision brighter futures. They are teachers and coaches, friends and role models. They instill values like hard work and integrity, and teach their kids to take responsibility for themselves and those around them. This is a task for every father—whether married or single, gay or straight, natural or adoptive—and every child deserves someone who will step up and fill this role.

My Administration proudly supports dads who are not only present but also involved, who meet their commitments to their sons and daughters, even if their own fathers did not.

Aw, we're getting teary-eyed!

Prior to me officially telling them, I went for a walk with a friend. While we were out, some gay dudes in town were asking for support and to sign a petition against some sort of anti-equality act. We signed the petition and got some free stickers and went home.

When i went home I wasn’t planning on tell them or anything but that night it just sorta happened and as a joke i showed them the stickers then viola. My roommate put them on our adjacent doors!

We're not in love with the feng shui of having two doors that touch, but its a wonderful sentiment.
