Dusty Ray Bottoms Headlining New Interactive Musical “Cleopatra”

The "RuPaul's Drag Race" alum will emcee the immersive nightlife experience this fall.

Look who's connecting the dots to off-Broadway.

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 contestant Dusty Ray Bottoms will star as the Mistress of Ceremonies in Cleopatra, a new immersive musical that invites audiences to attend a lavish soirée hosted by the legendary Queen of the Nile, Playbill reports.

Cleopatra is "a high-octane fusion of music, dance, fashion, theater, and nightlife that welcomes audiences into a wholly interactive experience," according to an official description.

"Set to an original pop and EDM score spun by a live DJ, this exhilarating immersive musical traces history’s most seductive and powerful ruler, mixing historical drama with an enveloping spectacle that will have guests partying until the Empire falls."

Directed and choreographed by JT Horenstein, Cleopatra features a score by Jeff Daye and Laura Kleinbaum. Nya (Motown: The Musical) and Christian Brailsford (The Lion King) will lead the cast as ill-fated lovers Cleopatra and Marc Antony.

Dusty, who moved to New York from Kentucky, opened up about her passion for musical theater on Whatcha Packin’ with Michelle Visage: “As soon as I popped out of my mom, I was doing musicals on stage.”

A Broadway Plus VIP package for Cleopatra will include a meet-and-greet with Dusty and an autographed gift.

Drag Race season 9 runner-up Peppermint made herstory earlier this year in Head Over Heels as the first openly trans woman—and only the second Drag Race contestant—to originate a principal role on Broadway.

Cleopatra begins October 23 and opens November 7 at the Chelsea Music Hall.
