One daring talk show asked out gay Olympian Adam Rippon during a live TV interview.

Justin Sylvester, a host on E!'s Daily Pop, was interviewing Rippon about rivalries between him and fellow figure skater Johnny Weir, and then asked if he was seeing anyone. "I'm not," Rippon revealed. "Listen, anybody out there, you let me know. But I've just been so busy that I haven't really had time, with focusing on getting ready for the Olympics. It's just been a whirlwind after that."

Sylvester seized the opportunity to go for the gold.

"So I'm going to throw this out there. When you come to L.A., I want to take you out on a date and grab drinks, your choice. Or I could show you my L.A., and we could just kick it."

Rippon was somewhat stunned, replying "Wow... I love it. I love to just kick it." But seeing a casual romantic moment between two men on nationwide television is a pretty amazing thing.

The Daily Pop hosts sent Rippon a red rose and made him promise to wear his bold Oscars harness on the date.

"I'll get your number from my producer—and I'm going to hit you up!" Sylvester laughed.

Here's hoping the two hit it off.
