LGBT Hero Edie Windsor Remembers Wife Thea Spyer, Will Make You Cry: WATCH

"What could have happened if we hadn't put all that energy into being hidden?" asks Edie Windsor, the 84-year-old whose court case toppled the Defense of Marriage Act—and who lost out on Time magazine's vaunted Person of the Year to Pope Francis—in the clip above.

Windsor also waxes romantic about her late wife, Thea Spyer, who passed away in in 2009. "The truth is that if you really care about the quality of somebody's life as much as you care about the quality of your own, you have it made."

What?  No, I'm fine. Just allergies. Definitely not sobbing over here.
