Elevation Adds Third Ski Destination to Its Annual Line-Up
Sixteen years ago, event producer Tom Whitman launched his first Elevation Mammoth, a gathering known for parties as well-packed as its snow trails, and now one of the largest gay ski weeks in North America. Eight years later, Whitman added Park City to the mix with Elevation Utah. And, now, eight years after that—do we see a pattern here?—the franchise gets its third iteration, Elevation Tremblant, taking place January 31-February 3, 2019.
Between the three events, Whitman says he expects to see nearly 5,000 attendees this year.
“The East Coast was one area where we have always wanted to expand,” explains Whitman. “And, Tremblant is the perfect place for Elevation: (It's) always ranked one of the best resorts on the East Coast, with very easy access from Toronto, Montreal, Boston, and New York City.”
Indeed, Québec's Mont Tremblant is one of our northern neighbor's top resort destinations, not only for its skiing but also for its breathtaking views of the Laurentians and its charming village that boasts amazing hotels, restaurants, boutiques, and a casino.
To help kick off Tremblant’s inaugural Elevation event, Whitman has invited some LGBTQ influencers to attend, including Max Emerson and Andres Camilo, Eastsiders Kit Williamson and John Halbach, and Kristen McKenzie and Steph LeClair from The Amazing Race Canada. Of course, as can be expected, there will also be plenty of apres-ski and night-time events, go-go dancers, international DJs, and themed events (such as the Onesie Apres-Ski and GEAR parties) too.
