Elizabeth Warren is hoping that the gay vote can help her unseat Sen. Scott Brown in Massachusetts

Elizabeth Warren, who is trying to unseat Senator Scott Brown in Massachusetts, is doing her part to reach out to the gay community. Senator Al “Stuart Smiley” Franken of Minnesota gave a speech in support of Warren and talked about her commitment to gay rights and anti-bullying measures at a get-out-the-gay-vote rally in Cambridge.

However, it’s not so much that Warren loves the gays as that Brown doesn’t. Franken mentioned that he asked Brown to cosponsor a law that would protect LGBT teens from bullying, but was denied. Brown has also repeatedly voted against marriage equality, which is currently legal in Massachusetts. He has also referred to same-sex parenting as “not normal.” Wonder if he thinks it’s normal to be a Cosmo centerfold?
