There’s no doubt that Elle Fanning has officially stepped out of her sister’s shadow, and she’s not slowing down.
The actress will star in director Sally Potter’s new film Bomb alongside Alessandro Nivola. According to Deadline, she’ll play “a teenage rebel who wants to save the world from nuclear annihilation” but whose family breaks down “as the cold war meets the sexual revolution.” So, a light romantic comedy?
“Elle has a subtlety and range beyond her years,” said Sally. “Her unaffected enthusiasm for work is a joy. She can move you to tears and then light up the room with her radiant smile, the perfect presence at the center of this volatile story.”
Alessandro will play a free-spirited writer in 1960s London who has a fight with his teen daughter when he has an affair with her best friend. (Hulk Hogan you can now feel vindicated).
Sounds like Elle Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen are taking over Hollywood one movie at a time. Guess not everyone follows in the footsteps of Jamie Lynn Spears.
