Ellen DeGeneres Auditions To Be First Lesbian Vice President

"I would make you really be in charge of returning kindness to America."

Hillary Clinton stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week and revealed she'd love to have the out comedian be her running mate.

"Actually, I’m here to interview you," said the Democratic frontrunner. "I know that you have a lot to contribute and I would make you really be in charge of returning kindness to America – something that you care a lot about."

Clinton pointed out that DeGeneres could "try and lift people’s spirits, give them something to feel happy about" because she said her show already does that for millions of people every day.

Ellen got excited about doing her show from The White House, but quickly lost interest when she found out she'd have to live in the Blair House across the street.

"It's a nice house," Clinton said about the vice presidential residence.

"I have a nice house," responded DeGeneres. "I'm fine."

Although it looks like we won't be getting our first lesbian vice president just yet—although Tammy Baldwin would be a killer VP—the two had plenty to discuss.
