Ellen Page and Allison Janney Have A Mother Of A Problem In “Tallulah” Trailer

"She's dead. Or asleep. It's either dead or asleep."

When Talullah “Lu” (Page) stumbles upon a baby being raised by an irresponsible mother, she takes the baby and runs to the only other adult she knows: her ex-boyfriend’s estranged mom, Margo (Janney), who believes the kid is her granddaughter.

This is the premise of indie-drama Talullah, which follows Lu and Margo as they navigate their awkward feelings toward each other while trying to raise the child.

The film debuted at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival this past January and was later acquired by Netflix, who will premiere the movie on July 29.

In anticipation of the release, the streaming service released a clip of the movie yesterday. In it, a panicked Lu runs to Margo in the middle of the night to tell her that she thinks the baby’s dead.

Hilarious tension ensues.

In addition to Page and Janney, the film also stars Zachary Quinto, John Benjamin Hickey and Uzo Aduba.
