Ellen Page Films "Gaycation" Episode In India

The out actress is going to explore why it is still a crime to be gay in the country.

Ellen Page is continuing to shoot her Viceland documentary series Gaycation, and her latest stop is in India.

The series takes a look at LGBT laws, rights and cultures in different places around the globe, and is hitting up India to examine the life of sexual minorities in the country.

Despite a recent survey that found 95% of India’s citizens supported decriminalizing homosexuality, it still remains a crime to be gay.

There is hope, however, as the country's Supreme Court has agreed to reopen the debate, despite just voting to keep it a crime back in December.

Page, who came out as a lesbian in 2014 and hosts the show with her friend Ian Daniel, has reportedly interviewed Apurva Asrani, who wrote the controversial Hindi film Aligarh, about the life of a gay Indian professor.

You can watch a promo for Gaycation below, and stay tuned for Page's upcoming India episode.
