No one's better at milking true emotion from celebrities than Ellen Degeneres. Remember Kristen Bell's sloth breakdown? How about Taylor Swift's many, many scaredy-cat moments? Well, bearded hottie Jake Gyllenhaal has officially joined the party.

The actor appeared on Ellen to promote his new thriller, Nightcrawler, and DeGeneres asked why he chooses such dark roles. (Um, did you see Prince of Persia?)

"I have this belief that if you go into the dark, sometimes it can be illuminating," said Gyllenhaal, before crapping his pants as a freakish doll popped out of the table next to him. "Oh my God! What the f***?" he exclaimed, before regaining his composure. "Where's that guy? Bring him back!"
