Ellie Goulding Boycotting Russia, Did CBS Cut Away From Kisses At The Grammy Weddings?: Today In Gay

Ellie Goulding is already one of our favorite rising pop princesses, but she's edged even higher in our esteem by not touring in Russia because of the country's anti-gay laws.  Asked by The Hollywood Reporter about her upcoming tour, she declared "It's probably a 'no' for Russia."

The "Burn" singer will, however, be playing in Germany, Scandinavia and the U.K. before hitting the U.S. in March.

Conor CusackOn Monday, Irish hurler Conor Cusack came out in an online post:

I’ve known for a good while now that I have been sexually attracted to men. In that time, I’ve had relationships with women, and enjoyed them immensely but I’ve always had more fulfillment from being with a man.

I’m not sure what label society would categorize me under...

Cusack's brother, fellow hurler Donal Og Cusack, came out as gay in 2009, but Conor said he never felt to need to discuss his own sexuality until recently, in light of the work he's done to raise awareness about mental-health issues. The 35-year-old has been open about his lifelong battle with depression.

Hurling is an ancient Gaelic team sports whose origins date back some 3,000 years.

The homophobes have sprayed their venom against the group wedding at Sunday's Grammys, but some in the LGBT community are ticked off that CBS didn't show any same-sex couples kissing. Buzzfeed wondered if the network cut away from such scenes. CBS insists it made no such decision: "It was a groundbreaking and inclusive moment on television and for all who were in the room last night,’ CBS VP of communications Phil Gonzales said. "It’s hard to believe that this is BuzzFeed’s takeaway from this event."
