From boy wizardry to Broadway, Daniel Radcliffe is Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainer of the Year.  He graces the cover of the issue, on newsstands December 9, in a tux, top hat and bowtie (the bowtie is in Gryffindor colors, naturally), surrounded by fluttering rainbow confetti.  Radcliffe definitely has much to celebrate for 2011. The final installment of the Harry Potter franchise was box-office gold, and he’ll end his run as J. Pierrepont Finch in How To Succeed In Business at the end of the month.  Next year Radcliffe takes on decidedly darker fare with the supernatural thriller The Woman In Black, out in 2012.

The issue also ranks other entertainers including Adele and fellow Broadway boy Hugh Jackman, plus reveals tributes from other famous folks about who they think deserves the title.  2009 Entertainer of the Year Sandra Bullock taps Matt Stone and Trey Parke for their raunchy The Book of Mormon, while Meryl Streep praises Viola Davis.
