Gay Country Singer Gives Eureka “She’s All That” Makeover in New Video “For You”

Brandon Stansell taps the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” fave's true beauty.

Boys don’t make passes at gurls who wear glasses!

Eureka O’Hara goes from geek to chic in out country singer-songwriter Brandon Stansell’s sweet new video for his single “For You.”

In the clip, Stansell helps the RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 finalist find the confidence to bag her handsome new crush, simply removing her glasses to magically transform her into a runway-ready version of herself. But the glamazon quickly realizes it was her bestie who saw her true beauty all along.

Stansell, who shot the video in one day in his home, writes on social media that working with Eureka “was a dream—she’s tough as nails and funny as hell. She is also a fellow Tennessean, so having her on set felt a lot like being home except she had more hairspray and heels than my momma ever had!”

“I’m so honored to have had the opportunity to be a part of such a beautiful video, with a message that shows size doesn’t matter,” the Elephant Queen shares. “Sometimes love is right in front of us but we fail to see it.”

“Unless you’re a straight white male, you are a minority in country music, and I think that’s crazy,” Stansell tells Billboard. “There is so much good country music out there that doesn’t get played for reasons that have nothing to do with the music being produced—whether it’s music from women or LGBTQ artists. I am not sure what it will take to turn the tide, but I don’t mind being the storm.”

Stansell, who recently took over our Instagram with Eureka, performed last month at GLAAD’s Concert for Love and Acceptance in Nashville.
