Sandra Bullock’s Oscar win may have seemed like a fluke to some but, if the trailer for her new film holds up to the actual picture, Bullock may be storming the Oscar stage again this year.
Bullock stars alongside Tom Hanks and newcomer Thomas Horn in the film adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer’s 9/11 novel, Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close. The tearjerker of a book finds a young boy (Horn) and his mother (Bullock) dealing with the loss of Hanks’ character following the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
Bettering the awards odds is director Stephen Daldry, whose three previous pics (Billy Elliott, The Hours, The Reader) were all best Picture nominees.
