Fawaz was the target of hateful comments on social media and from the press after the singer's death back in December. He called the attacks "very cruel" and "unnecessary."

While the cause of Michael's death was still under investigation Fawaz was questioned by police after "an earlier post-mortem had come back as 'inconclusive'" reports the Irish Independent.

Fawaz revealed to the police that he had actually slept in his car on Christmas Eve, and found Michael's body in the house the following morning.

“I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed. We don’t know what happened yet,” he said. “Everything had been very complicated recently, but George was looking forward to Christmas, and so was I. Now everything is ruined. I want people to remember him the way he was – he was a beautiful person.”

According to the coroner, Michael suffered from dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver. "Cardiomyopathy causes heart muscles to stretch until pumping blood becomes difficult, while myocarditis produces inflammation. Fatty liver disease is often associated with consumption of fat, alcohol or sugar."

Once the cause of Michael's death was revealed earlier this week, Fawaz tweeted out: "F*ck you. The truth is out."

This isn't the first time Fawaz's tweets have made headlines. Shortly after Michael's death Fawaz posted several tweets that suggested the "Fastlove" singer took his own life. Fawaz denied that he was the author of the tweets and said his account had been hacked.
