Louis Farrakhan: Obama Chose Gays Over African-Americans

“You didn’t earn your legacy with us,” said the Nation of Islam leader.

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has lashed out again, this time against President Obama, whom he claims short-changed the black community in his two terms in office.

In a Sunday sermon at the Union Temple Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., Farrakhan claimed Obama favored helping LGBT people and the State of Israel over African-Americans.

“[Your legacy] is in the street with your suffering people, Mr. President," he declared. "And if you can’t go and see about them, then don’t worry about your legacy because the white people that you serve so well, they’ll preserve your legacy."

He added sarcastically, “the hell they will.”

“You didn’t earn your legacy with us [even though] We put you there. You fought for the rights of gay people. You fought for the rights of this people and that people... You fight for Israel. Your people are suffering and dying in the streets!”

Farrakhan, 83, said the president needed to return to Chicago, where he began as a community activist.

"Come on back to the hood; start organizing like you did."
