Well, well, well, Los Angeles cleans up nicely, on occasion. This past weekend, celebs turned out for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Art + Film Gala, which honored Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick. The event was majorly sponsored by Gucci, and virtually every celeb turned out decked in the designer’s fashions. While it’s a big night for seeing and being seen, the gala also serves a more pedestrian function; more than $3.5 million was raised for the museum.
“This is how New York imagines that L.A. art world operates,” one attendee told the Los Angeles Times. “And it does — but only for one night.” Good, or I was going to get jealous.
In any case, let’s check out what they were wearing, mmkay?
Left: Fashion overlord, Anna Wintour, and daughter/minion Bee Shaffer. Right: Amber Heard, looking like the type of girl who could steal Johnny Depp away from Vanessa Paradis.
Left: Will Ferrell, and the luckiest woman in the world, Will Ferrell’s wife. Right: Justin Theroux, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Aniston’s cleavage all make an appearance.
Left: Amber Valetta goes for dark green and full coverage. Right: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley does a slightly side-boobier version.
Left: Amy Adams’ should always wear this color. Like, always. Right: Cameron Diaz should never wear those sleeves. Unless she pursues a second career as a flamenco dancer.
Left: I bet Florence Welch is the kind of girl who has to be the center of attention no matter what. Like, even at her BFF’s wedding. She’d eschew the bridesmaid dress and show up rolled in a feather and glitter leotard. Right:Ginnifer Goodwin goes for a no less dramatic look.
Left: Salma Hayek goes for old world gothy glamour. Right: Rita Wilson in a kindergarten craft project gone wrong.
