We’re not usually the mushy types but this story is just too sweet to ignore.
Nils Pickert is an awesome father, with a son who loves dressing up. “My five year old son likes to wear dresses,” the German dad recently told EMMA magazine. Nils and his son moved from Berlin to a small “very traditional, very religious” town in South Germany. Once moving to the small community, his son stopped the cross-dressing ways he had adopted in Berlin, but Nils was having none of that.
“I didn’t want to talk my son into not wearing dresses and skirts,” the dad explains. “He didn’t make friends in doing that in Berlin already and after a lot of contemplation I had only one option left: To broaden my shoulders for my little buddy and dress in a skirt myself.”
Daddy Awesome inspired his son to wear his dresses to school again and the fashionista is even painting his nails. Now, when kids try to tease the young boy, he replies by saying, “You only don’t dare to wear skirts and dresses because your dads don’t dare to either.”
Yeah, kids. Your dad is not half as cool as Nils. Losers.
