“Feel Good” With the First Trailer for Netflix’s New Queer Comedy Series

With Lisa Kudrow?!

As if we didn’t already have enough shows to watch, Netflix has released the first trailer for a new series about queer love that we’re already adding to our queue.

Feel Good, which stars Mae Martin as Mae, looks like your average “girl meets girl” romance—until a twist halfway through the trailer reveals that Mae is trying to get her life back on track after a dark past involving drugs and a stint in prison.

Mae is “a rising talent on the stand-up circuit and recovering addict whose addictive behaviors and intense romanticism dominate every single part of her life,” reads the series description. “When she meets pragmatic—but so far heterosexual—George (Charlotte Ritchie) she’s smitten, and much to her surprise George feels the same.”

Oh, and did we mention Lisa Kudrow plays Mae’s mom?!

“I’m beyond excited for people to finally see my semi-autobiographical show Feel Good. I really hope that people laugh, connect with the characters, and root for Mae and George as a couple,” Martin said in a statement. “We tried to make a show that’s funny, heartbreaking, and occasionally completely bizarre because that’s what life is like.”

The six-episode first season of Feel Good drops March 19 on Netflix. Check out the new trailer below.
