Felicity Huffman Is Pushing For A "Desperate Housewives" Reunion

And she's not the only cast member!

Reboots and revivals are all the rage on TV and no one is safe, not even the ladies of Wisteria Lane: On Saturday, the fifth anniversary of the Desperate Housewives series finale, Felicity Huffman tweeted that she'd like ABC to revive the juicy suburban soap, which ran from 2004 to 2012.

Housewives was a ratings juggernaut when it premiered, recounting the dramas, affairs and betrayals of a group of middle-class ladies living on the same cul de sac. Over eight seasons, the show featured plane crashes, tornados, multiple murders, gay neighbors, and even a five-year time jump in Season Five (itself a kind of reboot).

Could a DH revival happen?

Huffman, who won an Emmy for playing Lynette Scavo, stars on the anthology series American Crime, which is also on ABC. Teri Hatcher has a recurring role on The CW's Supergirl, while Marcia Cross, a.k.a. anal homemaker Bree Van De Kamp, plays the president on Quantico.

Co-star Eva Longoria said she'd do a Housewives reboot in a heartbeat: “I would jump at the chance to play Gaby Solis again," she told ET. I miss her! I miss her skin and I miss being in her skin.”

The series' openly gay show runner, Marc Cherry, was busy with Longoria on Devious Maids, but NBC canceled the show last year. And his new Reba McEntire dramedy, Red Handed, hasn't gotten picked up by any networks yet. So he certainly has the time.

We're not sure Nicollette Sheridan—queen bitch Edie Britt—would be on board, given her lawsuit alleging Cherry slapped her.

But, who knows, maybe time has healed that wound. (Or they could always just leave Edie killed off.)

A DH revival would also reconnect us with the show's supporting men: hunky husbands Doug Savant and James Denton, out actor Charlie Carver and twin bro Max (who starred as Lynette's sons), and Shawn Pryfoam, who played Bree's troubled gay son, Andrew.

And then there's Jesse Metcalfe, alias hunky gardener John Rowland.

What do you think, Desperate Housewives fans? Is it time for a revival—or should the series remain as dead as Mary Alice?
