Filmmaker Sal Bardo Directs Emotional Video For Paper Ring’s “Great Escape”

The song originally appeared in Bardo's queer sci-fi film, "Pink Moon."

Director Sal Bardo debuted his sci-fi short Pink Moon earlier this year, exploring an imaginary world in which homosexuality is the norm, and being straight is an aberration.

Now, one of the film’s tracks, Paper Ring’s “Great Escape,” gets it’s own short film, also directed by Bardo.

Shot in moody black and white, the emotional video sees an elderly female leaving her husband for a woman she fell in love with decades ago. The song features vocals by Cat Martino (a.k.a. Stranger Cat).
