"Finding Prince Charming": Robby's Farewell Interview

"He needed something to dislike about me, so apparently he disliked my jovial nature..."

On the latest episode of Finding Prince Charming, Robby left the house when Robert asked for his tie back. How did Robby feel about Robert asking him to be more serious? What were his thoughts on his fight with Sam and has he found love since he left the show?

Find out as we talk with Robby about his time in the house in this week's installment of #Untied.

It looked like you were having fun on the show. How was your time in the house?

We had the times of our lives. Good times and bad times. Shooting a reality show in a house can be invasive to say the least… but once you got used to that lifestyle, you learn to let loose and relax and have a really, really fun time. Everyone was just very, very sweet. Friends I will have for the rest of my life.

If you had to pick Prince Charming from the other suitors in the house, who would you have picked?

I think Prince Eric. He’s just super charming and sweet. Not for me personally, but theres something very princely about him and the way he carries himself. He’s a sweetheart, he’s a good, good boy.

Your conflict with Sam was early on in the show. Were you surprised when he left the house?

I wasn’t surprised... I mean obviously when alcohol is involved he can get very volatile and argumentative. Sam is a teddy bear, he’s a sweetheart, but when alcohol gets involved he gets crazy. But the next day we were able to bury the hatchet.

What Sam really needs is to get some help. Put the bottle down. Sober Sam is a good Sam, but drunk Sam can be detrimental.

What do you think Robert meant when he told you to be more serious and not just fun all the time?

I was a little shocked when he said that. I thought it was a little bit of a cop out, it was a little bizarre. He needed something to dislike about me, so apparently he disliked my jovial nature, which is very peculiar, because I don’t think of myself as a funny person—this is just who I am.

I tried to show Robert a more serious of me, but then I thought: “why am I giving my own personal light to make Robert feel more comfortable? I don’t think so. I’m just going to turn it up and be me, and be the happy-go-lucky guy I am." You don’t need to force seriousness on anybody.

You were the comedic relief in the house, what do you think is going to happen now that you’re gone?

Things are about to get cray. I think I was the last person who was having fun. When I started to leave, things starting getting very serious and now there are officially hearts on the line and people are pining for this man. I’m worried about my sister wives and I’m worried that friendships are about to dissolve because when matters of love come into hand I think they’re quicker to follow their hearts than follow their friends. It’s going to be hard now.

How’s your life since the show premiered?

I am so humbled by all of the response. I had to start a Twitter account! I never had one before! My Twitter is blowing up, people are saying that they want a Robby spinoff show. They are singing it from the mountains! It really has been a wonderful thing.

Hows your dating life been since you left the house?

It’s been really great actually. I’m in love. I’m totally head over heels in love right now. There is a happy ending.
