Electronica duo Fischerspooner is back with their first album in eight years, and they released two different edits of the music video for the new track “Togetherness” to celebrate.
Member Warren Fischer’s version is more cinematic, and features more footage of Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek, who provides a guest vocal on the track. But it’s the video edited by the duo’s eccentric other half, Casey Spooner, that turns up the homoeroticism to the max.
Spooner’s version features more footage of trans model Juliana Huxtable in the shower, and more sweat-covered scenes on a bed with 26-year-old dancer Juan Pablo Rahal.
“That is my bed where we were shooting,” Spooner told Dazed. “Juan Pablo and I met on Grindr, so, we fucked in that bed. We had chemistry that precedes the shoot. Having fucked and been in that bed, in my house, in the summer…it makes it easy.”
The 47-year-old added that he was interested in portraying an “older, sexualized gay man,” because it’s a type that’s often ignored by the LGBT community.
Fisherspooner’s new album will be released on February 16, and you can check out Spooner’s version of the “Togetherness” video below.
