Focus Features Celebrates 15th Anniversary With Throwback Screenings Of Queer Gems

Limited-edition posters of films like "Brokeback Mountain" are also being printed.

Focus Features is ringing in its 15th birthday this year with a celebration that includes reimagined movie posters and screenings of some its most memorable films.

The film production and distribution company has garnered 105 Oscar nominations and 21 wins since it was founded in 2002, and has shepherded a plethora of LGBT movies, including Milk, Brokeback Mountain, The Kids Are Alright, Beginners, Far From Heaven and Dallas Buyers Club.

Special rooftop screenings of these films, as well as other titles from the company’s catalog, will take place in Los Angeles, New York and London throughout July as part of the Focus 15 celebration.

Artists have been commissioned to create special-edition posters commemorating some of Focus’ most celebrated films, and limited-edition vinyl records are also being created, featuring tracks from noteworthy film soundtracks.
