“I’m thrilled and honored to be joining this incredibly talented team of actors in re-imagining this classic and beloved musical,” Tveit said in a statement. “Playing Danny Zuko is a dream role and I can’t wait to be a part of all the fun that comes along with performing live on television.”

Theater audiences know Tveit for his Helen Hayes Award-winning performance in Next To Normal and as Frank Abagnale, Jr. in Broadway's Catch Me If You Can.

Film and television audiences will recognize him from the 2012 Les Misérables film in which he played Enjolras as well as from his starring role on USA Network's Graceland.

Or, if you're like us, you'll remember him mainly as James Franco's snuggle buddy in Howl.

In addition to Hough (who will play Sandy) and Hudgens (who will play Rizzo), Carlos PenaVega (Big Time Rush) has been cast as Danny Zuko's right hand man, Kenickie.

Grease: Live is set to air Jan. 31, 2016.
