New Frank Ocean Song Name-Checks Liberace, Lashes Out At Chris Brown

versaceFrank Ocean has damaged his pipes, but that didn't stop the queer artist from taking a well-deserved potshot at dillweed singer Chris Brown in the lyrics to his version of Migo's "Versace."

The lyrics, which were posted on Ocean's Tumblr page, read "You could stay seated, I’m taking that Grammy, your music is sloppy." Brown, of course, refused to applaud or stand when Ocean won a Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Artist at the 2013 Grammys. (Hey, maybe he just didn't want anyone to see his house-arrest monitor.)

Ocean also made a sly reference to his own sexuality in the song, writing "‘Versace, Versace/I’ll play the piano, I’m not Liberace." Well, either that or he was watching Behind the Candelabra at the time. He also manages to name check everyone from Beyoncé and Madonna to Riccardo Tisci and Marina Abramovic.

Sadly, Ocean has had to call off his current Australian tour in the wake of tearing a vocal chord. He made it through a show at Melbourne's Festival Hall last night, but pulled future dates Down Under.
