A "war to end all wars" kicks off in an all-new trailer for the upcoming Wonder Woman film, and Gal Gadot looks absolutely stunning when she emerges as the only person capable of ending it.

Gadot first debuted the modern incarnation of the crime-fighting superhero (first played by Lynda Carter in the '70s) in this year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but the upcoming film will mark Wonder Woman's first solo venture.

In the new trailer below, Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) cross paths at the beginning of World War I, a conflict that threatens to put them "in more danger than you think," and team up to kick some serious ass in what looks like a handful of intense fight scenes.

"It is our sacred duty to defend the world," Wonder Woman declares. "And it's what I'm going to do."
