Game Of Thrones' Bad-Ass Arya Stark Wants Gay Marriage Legal "Everywhere": Today In Gay

 arya stark game of thrones

Game of Thrones spitfire Arya Stark is already kicking ass and subverting traditional gender roles so it makes sense the youngest Stark daughter supports marriage equality.

In a recent HBO webchat, 17-year-old Maisie Williams revealed what she'd do if she was queen of the Seven Kingdoms: "If I could have three wishes I'd wish for happiness for me, my family and everyone I care about, I'd solve world hunger and make gay marriage legal everywhere," the young English actress revealed.

We're sure Hodor would be happy to hear that.

But if Arya was alive in 2014, she definitely wouldn't be a Plastic: "You know there's always that girl who looks perfect and has perfect hair and makeup stays on all day and wears a perfect handbag and has her nails done and they would never chip? Arya would not be that girl," Williams explains. "She'd be the polar opposite and love it. she would be the ruler of the underdogs. She wouldn't be popular and people would hate her but she wouldn't care. That's what I like about her, she wouldn't care. 'Do what you want and what you stand for,' That's 2014 Arya."

Dan Haseltine, front man for the popular Christian rock band Jars of Clay, took to Twitter yesterday to share his support for marriage equality.

Haseltine also knocked Christians who think the religion is all about judging:  “I think the vast interpretation has left room for people to deal inhumanly and unlovingly toward others that don’t fit their guidelines” he later tweeted. “I don’t particularly care about Scriptures stance on what is ‘wrong.’ I care more about how it says we should treat people.”

Jars of Clay formed in Tennessee in the 1990s and are big names in the Contemporary Christian music scene. Their debut self-titled album went multi-platinum and the single “Flood” reached #12 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart and #37 on the Hot 100 pop chart.

H. 3909, “An Act Relative to Bullying in Schools,” will track incidents of bullying through student surveys and official reports, and require schools to devise plans to protect frequently targeted group.

“LGBT students in Massachusetts can feel confident their educators are committed to providing them with the safe and inclusive school environments they deserve," said GLSEN director Eliza Byard. "GLSEN looks forward to the day when every student in every school in the country can feel just as supported.”

Sheldon Stephens filed suit last year, claiming he met Clash in 2004 at a networking event and was “lured” to New York for sexual encounters, starting when Stephens was 16.

During one rendezvous with Clash and his driver, Stephens alleges, “Clash smoked crystal meth while engaging in sexual activity with Sheldon. Clash also gave Sheldon poppers as a sexual aide. While Clash had sexual contact with Sheldon, the chauffeur watched and masturbated.”

The criminal case was apparently dropped because the statute of limitations ran out. "There is no ruling on the merits," says attorney Jeff Herman. "The case against Clash on behalf of Sheldon Stephens is pending."

If Herman's name rings a bell, thats because he's also repping Michael Egan in his sexual-assault suit against Bryan Singer and several other Hollywood power brokers.
