“Game of Thrones” Stud Michiel Huisman: “Somebody Has To Be The Guy Who Takes His Pants Off”

The latest issue of Interview magazine features a photo spread with actor Michiel Huisman—a.k.a. Game of Thrones’ oft-naked hunk Daario Naharis—and it has us fanning ourselves.

In the accompanying article, the Dutch actor discusses his new movie, The Age of Adaline, in which he plays plays a handsome philanthropist who captures the attention of a young woman (Blake Lively) who  stopped aging 80 years ago.

Huisman says he looked to the Golden Age of Hollywood for inspiration.

I think there’s a certain old-time gentleman quality to [Ellis]. I’m familiar with some of the great movies from the early days, and I’ve been watching some Cary Grant movies to kind of brush up. The great actors, like Cary Grant, and the gentlemanliness that they portray in the movies is something that I try to keep in mind.

We have a lot of things in mind when we see you, Michiel.

Like us, Huisman also loved that his Thrones character seems to strip naked a lot for his mistress, Daenerys:  “I thought it was very cool to see a woman in control… and somebody has to be the guy who takes his pants off. It’s not something I, like, enjoy doing. But I also don’t mind.”

We don’t mind either.

Shot by Sølve Sundsbø, the Interview spread doesn’t feature any shots of Michiel sans clothing, but it does capture his smoldering good looks.

So beautiful, it hurts, Michiel.
