Gay Australian Comedy "Please Like Me" Returns For Season 3

Plus: Catch up on Season 1 and 2 on Hulu!

You might have heard about out Australian comic Josh Thomas' semi-autobiographical comedy Please Like Me, because its fans are very enthusiastic. TV critics have been similarly freeflowing with their praise.

But you might not have had a chance to watch it yourself since, in the States, it's on a fairly new channel, Pivot.

That's about to change as the first two seasons of Please Like Me are now on Hulu.

The series follows Josh, an awkward 20-something gay man just getting comfortable coming out when his mother is hospitalized after a suicide attempt. With his dad in a new relationship, Josh finds himself taking on responsibilities people his age usually don't have—like getting his mother to the shrink on time. And then there's Josh's love life, which is something of a disaster in itself.

Please Like Me offers a nice blend of sweetness and wry humor that's rare on American television.

Once you're done catching up on the first two seasons, the third season debuts on Pivot this Friday, promising story lines about "online dating, coming out, STDs, adultery, and raising chickens (yes, chickens).”
