5 Stars We Want To Come Out In 2013

We’re quickly headed toward the end of the year and, if the Mayans were right, the end of the world. This year saw Anderson Cooper, Frank Ocean, Jim Parsons and a slew of other celebs show their gay pride. Here’s our list of five stars we wish would come out in 2013—if we’re still around to talk about it.

1. George Clooney

Another year gone, another year of “confirmed bachelor” George Clooney continuing to confirm his bachelorhood. Clooney has got the whole package – undeniable talent, sense of humor, a love of animals, a villa in Italy – and he’s not too bad looking either. Maybe 2013 will be the year he won’t leave the question of his sexuality up in the air.

2. Trey Parker

Writer, director, composer – he’s a triple threat. The driving force behind South Park and films like Team America: World Police and Cannibal: The Musical, Parker is no stranger to gay themes and continues to produce some of the smartest, sharpest social commentary we’ve seen. With Book of Mormon a mega-successful smash hit, next year could find Parker singing a new tune.

3. Channing Tatum

2012 was a great year for Tatum. He got to show off his sexuality in Magic Mike, his sense of humor in 21 Jump Street and his…ability to transcend crappy film roles? in The Vow. Happily married with a baby on the way, Tatum probably won’t be coming out next year, but we can dream, can’t we?

4. Frankie Muniz

Remember Frankie Muniz? Whatever happened to the adorably sassy child star that made us laugh in Big Fat Liar and made us feel in My Dog Skip? We’d like to see him come out in 2013, if only so we can find out what he’s up to now. Besides, it would give us an excuse to re-watch some of our favorite episodes of Malcolm in the Middle.

5. Abraham Lincoln

It’s long been rumored that our 16th president may have been gay – he was known to share a bed with his friend Joshua Speed and his bodyguard David Derickson. This year, two high profile films revealed Lincoln’s wavery voice and his proclivity for hunting vampires. Next year would be the perfect time for some evidence outing Honest Abe and proving he had two beards – one on his chin and one named Mary Todd.
