Meet The Other Gay Couple On “The Amazing Race” This Season

For the first time ever CBS’ The Amazing Race will pit an “all-dating” cast against each other next month, when six existing couples compete against five additional couples who will meet for the first time on the show.

Since New Kids on the Block’s Jonathan Knight and his boyfriend Harley Rodriguez are appearing on the show as a couple (they’ve been together 7 years!), producers balanced things out with 23-year-old pageant consultant Kurt Belcher and 24-year-old HR executive Bergen Olsen, two gay men put together on a kind of marathon “blind date.”

Though neither have been successful with long-term relationships — Bergen says he’s never dated a guy longer than a year, and Kurt says he’s never dated period—#TeamFabulous is shaping up to be a good match.

“My wishlist was someone mature and stable in their career,” Bergen told The Wrap before meeting Kurt. “Tall, kind of like the all-American guy, muscular, likes sports, athletic. Good smile. To be honest, all the guys are good looking.”

We’re sure the boys will have plenty to talk about: In their casting interviews, both said that coming out was their proudest accomplishment in life, and both were reared in small towns.

Watch Kurt and Bergen’s interviews below, and catch them together when The Amazing Race premieres February 25 at 9:30pm on CBS.
