We've all seen clips of people yelling at each other in the British parliament, using the most colorful, flowery insulting language this side of Lincoln. Yet, as last night's Daily Show shows us, English politicians are much more capable of reasonable discussions about gay marriage than their American counterparts. A proposal to legalize gay marriage overwhelmingly passed in the British House of Commons recently, and there was nary a word about people marrying animals, polygamy, or being swallowed into the pit of Hell. It's well worth a watch, not least for a couple of solid Harry Potter jokes. Cheeri-o.
