Gay Couple Gets Married In Oklahoma Thanks To Amazing Loophole

What a great week it has been for the gays! Yesterday came the news that the governor of New Jersey, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, was withdrawing his appeal of the NJ court's recent legalization of gay marriage, and today we are learning of some lovely dudes in Oklahoma who got to make it official thanks to one awesome little loophole.

In related news, NOM is having the worst week ever.

So, it seems that back in June, when the Supreme Court struck down DOMA, two man loving men, Jason Pickel and Darren Black Bear, rang up the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe's courthouse to see if they could make things official. And since the tribal code states that anyone of Native American descent who lives within the tribe's jurisdiction can get a marriage license, regardless of gender, they got the green light.

And now, Jason and his guy Black Bear are husband and husband.

Even better, it seems like there won't be any way for the state to challenge the union, though we're sure they will try.

Watch a video of this momentous occasion above.
