Gay Rapper Cakes Da Killa Is Subject Of New Documentary, “No Homo”: WATCH

Cakes Da Killa

“Hit me on grindr so I know where to find ya / Pull up to my crib in your new pathfinder / Smelling like sex with a twist a the ganga / Thing in your lap looking like it’s a problem,” raps Cakes Da Killa on his most popular song, “Goodie Goodies.”  Not shying away from his sex life as a subject for his hyper-speedy spitting, Cakes Da Killa is part of a burgeoning underground gay rap scene alongside fellow superstars like Le1f and Mykki Blanco.

The 22 year-old rapper is already fairly accomplished: after 2 successful mixtapes and joining Red Bull Music Academy’s ever-growing crew, Cakes is now the subject of a new documetary called “NO HOMO” by director Ja’Tovia Gary.  The film has been selected for the Pan-African Film Festival.

Cakes has been teasing new music for his upcoming yet-to-be-titled mixtape on his hilarious facebook page for a while now: “NEW MIXTAPE SOUNDS LIKE THE SOUNDTRACK FOR A DREAMCAST FIGHTING GAME. MAD BRUTAL.”   We eagerly await the new release.
