Considering all of the hullaballoo surrounding Queens of Controversy Miley Cyrus and Sinead O'Connor, it doesn't look like the two will be singing a duet anytime soon.

But clever YouTube mash-up artists silencecanbeheard (AKA Robin Skouteris and video editor Panos T.) are not waiting for the two to kiss and make-up, and has created this genius mash-up of their respective power-ballads, "Wrecking Ball" and "Nothing Compares 2 U" for the appropriately named viral phenomenon "Nothing Compares to Wrecking Ball."

The creepily hyper-real song makes me imagine an alternative timeline where the two tour the world as feminist icons, championing gender equality.

Too bad we're stuck in this reality.
