Get Ready For The "Mean Girls" Spinoff Movie, "Mean Moms"

New Line Cinema is officially making Mean Moms, a dark comedy based on the book by the same author who inspired Tina Fey's Mean Girls.

Adapted from Rosalind Wiseman's mouthful-of-a-self-help tome, Queen Bee Moms And King Pin Dads: Dealing With The Parents, Teachers, Coaches, And Counselors Who Can Make — or Break — Your Child’s Future, the film will center on a happily married mother who is introduced to the brutal world of competitive parents when her family moves to an affluent suburb.

Fey wrote her Mean Girls screenplay around Wiseman's other advice book, Queen Bees And Wannabes, so this new spin-off sounds like it's banking on that film's winning formula. Sean Anders is slated to direct, and his Horrible Bosses 2 star Jennifer Aniston is in the running for a lead role.

So far it's unclear whether or not Aniston wants to play the Regina George or Cady Heron type, but we're sure she could nail either.

Fingers crossed for at least one cameo from the original.
