
In Kanye West news unrelated to Kim Kardashian, his video masterpiece for Lost in the World off his 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy leaked today, and although I felt rather guilty for watching and enjoying it knowing ‘Ye wasn’t ready for us to see it… I can’t help but love it. *hits Replay*
In this black and white, seizure-inducing video directed by filmmaker Ruth Hogben we see what West is most known for, a departure from the typical “rap video” and rather something that is more a piece of art. Mainly because the scantily clad women in this video aren’t being rained on while working a pole, instead it’s a well-choreographed emotional portrayal of displacement.
‘Ye went pretty lax in this video as far as wardrobe is concerned but the man can really do no wrong (fashion-wise, at least). See below to get the look inspired by the video (mirrored flooring not included):
