Lila Rose Gets Witchy In New Video, "This Could Be Ha"

"Things can always be harder, when we remember the bigger picture."

October is just around the corner but we're already getting spooky with the haunting tunes of queer Bay Area artist Lila Rose. Her latest, "This Could Be Ha", tells the story of a witchy woman's struggle for survival with sonic hints of artists like Massive Attack and Zola Jesus.

"It was an amazing and intense experience to be out in the blazing hot sun filled desert filming all day," she told Autostraddle about filming the accompanying video in The Valley of Fire in Nevada.

"It was indicative though, of the meaning behind the song: that it’s important to remember the basics for which we have been given in life — food, water, shelter, safety, no matter how deeply we might experience difficulties in our every day lives… Things can always be harder, when we remember the bigger picture."

Lila Rose's album WE ANIMALS is currently available on Amazon. She'll be touring the West Coast this fall.
