YouTuber Gigi Gorgeous, who has more than 2.3 million followers, shared this week that she now identifies as a lesbian.

The announcement, made in a video called "I'm a Lesbian," came after Gorgeous began dating oil heiress Nats Getty several months ago.

"I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting and examining on who I am and who I’ve become," she told viewers. "I fell in love with somebody and that person happens to be female."

Gorgeous, who says she "would not have seen falling in love with a girl coming from a mile away," says people are too hung up on categories.

"It’s truly disgusting that people feel the need to push other people into categories or labels of sexuality," she said in a video where she labeled her sexuality.

"Who the fuck are you to tell me who I am?"

The clip has received more than 900,000 views in four days.

"Life happens and people change," she says. "It’s not why people have changed, it’s not who is making them change. It’s just the solid fact that people change."
