As we previously told y'all, Lifetime is going all high fashion on us, with Gina Gershon playing the icon that is Donatella Versace in their upcoming film House of Versace, a story of intrigue, tanning spray and cigarette smoke. We assume Maya Rudolph was unavailable.

Even better, today we are getting out first look at Gina as Donatella, and the similarities are pretty amazing as you can see above.

Based on Deborah Ball's House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival, the film tells the story of Donatella's difficult life after the murder of her brother Gianni, including events such as her drug addiction, near bankruptcy, and being ridiculed by the fashion community. But like a phoenix from the (Marlboro Light) ashes, Miss Donatella Versace emerges victorious in the end, because that is just what she does.

The movie will premiere Saturday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. and be followed at 10 p.m. by the documentary Versace: Beyond the Headlines. We cannot wait.
