In the wake of Cory Monteith's death, friends and Glee co-stars have taken to social media to express their grief. The 31-year-old actor was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room Saturday aftenoon.

“We are deeply saddened by this tragic news,” Glee producers, Fox and 20th Century Fox Television said in a statement. “Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”

Lea Michele's rep told HuffPost Celebrity "We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time."

On Twitter, Mark Saling expressed his shock and sadness:"going through a million memories and emotions today. ill love you always Brother Cory."
