'Glee' Fans Give Back To Get Scripts

Kurt and Blaine episode 1

Do you want to see just exactly what was in the script the first time Glee's Kurt and Blaine went all the way?  The Box Scene Project, a fan-run charity organization, is giving fans the opportunity to do just that with their latest imitative to obtain scripts from last season's "The First Time," in conjunction with Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk's Young Storytellers Foundation.

From January 10-24, fans and collectors can donate $25 to charity and receive a digital copy of the script. For an additional $15 they can even get artist illustrations of deleted scenes. With previous script charity auctions the group and various fans released sections of the scripts post-auction to anyone on the internet who wanted to read exactly how scenes were drafted to go before television editing got its way, but in this instance the group is not permitted to post complete scenes or large portions of the script on social media sites. This means to get your eyes on the scenes you have to donate.

"Since we began in May, we’ve held five fundraisers for charities and won seven Glee scripts,” explains Tamila Gresham, co-founder and Executive Director of The Box Scene Project. “But the response to 'The First Time' has been incredible. We’re hoping we can raise a lot of money for YSF. The work they do is so inspiring.”

Their original initiative for the coveted "box scene" from 2011's Christmas episode was so successful that creator Ryan Murphy eventually released the full scene to YouTube, so you never know what will happen when determine Glee fans get involved.
