How Gay Was "Glee"?: Wonder-ful

We know when you ask “What’s so gay about Glee?” the obvious answer is “everything.” But we’re here to break down the queerest bits of Glee into bit-sized morsels for your enjoyment. Think of us as your gay cheat sheet to Glee fandom.

If last week was a return to true gay form, this week was a gay home run.  Kurt and Blaine are back in the same state, flirting and dancing and at least one of them his super fixated on marriage equality.  This can only end in gay rainbows.

1. Kurt Hummel Rediscovered His Gay Elf-wear. It's like all his queerest clothes were somehow left in Lima, Ohio, because once we found out Burt's cancer was in remission Kurt broke out every hat, scarf and weirdly patterned shirt was haven't seen all season all at once.  And bless him for it.

2. Dirty Cute.  So Kurt's back in Ohio and he assures us that he and Blaine aren't hooking up this time, but then the first exchange we see between them they talk marriage equality and Blaine tells Kurt he's "cute, and I mean dirty cute."  We need a little more information than this, Blaine. What exactly is dirty cute?

3. Popping The Question. Speaking of marriage equality, Blaine is particularly fixated on it. He gifts Burt with a rainbow pin to show his support in congress then starts asking Burt for his blessing to ask Kurt for his hand.  Nevermind the fact that Kurt and Blaine aren't together anymore, Blaine thinks this is is grand gesture to win Kurt back.  We're all for optimism and young love, but Blaine is definitely going to the extreme -- and Burt of course lays down the law.

4. But Really, Kurt Hummel's Pants Were Painted On.  Perhaps he's just grown out of all the clothes he left in Ohio, but we can't complain because his "dirty cute" look included pants that could have only come out of paint can.  Bless you, Glee costume department.

5. Jake's Dancing Takes The Spotlight.  Okay, so one tidbit that isn't fixated on the glory that is Klaine -- we got more Jake dancing this week, spurred on by Mike and Mercedes encouragement. More Jake!
