Ryan Murphy Wants to Remake "Glee" With Lea Michele and Ben Platt

“I WANT TO SHOOT THIS DO OVER PILOT. Maybe I will?”

Attention Gleeks, meet us in the Choir Room!

As if Ryan Murphy didn't have enough on his TV plate with American Horror Story, Pose, and Hollywood—to just name a few of his projects—he is now floating the idea of remaking one of his most popular series, Glee. But this time the series would star Lea Michele, Ben Platt, and Beanie Feldstein.

“Imagine it’s 2009, and I lived in a world where I knew Lea Michele, Ben Platt and Beanie Feldstein (Ben and Beanie, I believe, were in high school then and I think they dressed up as Glee characters once for Halloween?)," Murphy wrote on Instagram.

Then the prolific producer starts pitching his idea for Glee 2.0: "Lea and Ben are frenemies who fight for the heart and soul of Glee Club. Ben is also on the football team, and pretty much sleeps with the entire school and is the heartthrob of McKinley. Beanie is their mutual best friend, and torn. Suddenly, Beanie joins forces with Sue Sylvester, joins Glee Club and becomes the main soloist and the ruthless star of the club. Lea and Ben have to then join forces to dethrone her."

Honestly, we are kind of into this?

The actors are already part of the Ryan Murphy acting troupe. Michele worked with him on Glee, and Platt is currently starring in his Netflix series, The Politician, while Feldstein is set to play Monica Lewinksy in the upcoming American Crime Story: Impeachment.

We are fine with Murphy re-casting roles, all we ask is Jane Lynch return as Sue Sylvester. It wouldn't be the same if someone else was donning that iconic tracksuit.

What say you, Gleeks? Would you be down to return to William McKinley High?
