HBO’s “Girls” Becomes “The Golden Girls” In New “Jimmy Kimmel” Spoof

"I've got Ensure and ecstasy, who wants to party till we crap ourselves?!"

The cast of Girls are gearing up to say goodbye with only two episodes left of the HBO series.

But what if the show returned decades from now and the actresses were The Golden Girls versions of their characters?

That’s the idea behind a new skit that aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night. The spoof starred Lena Dunham, Jemima Kirke, Allison Williams and Zosia Mamet reprising their Girls roles, but this time instead of partying around Brooklyn the foursome are at their kitchen table eating cheesecake and preparing for a “63rd birthday/divorce/knee surgery party.”

Jessa (Kirke) plays the Blanche of the bunch, so naturally she orders a stripper for the celebration. Too bad the stripper, Sergeant Sausage (Kimmel), ends up being Hannah’s (Dunham) adult son.

Luckily, Elijah (Andrew Rannells) shows up—not having aged a day—with Ensure and ecstasy to get the party started.

Never change, Elijah.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
