"Vice" and "The Assassination of Gianni Versace" Lead the 2019 Golden Globe Nominations

"A Star is Born" and "Pose" also got some love from the Hollywood Foreign Press.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has gone gaga for Gaga.

The nominations for the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced today, and leading the pack is Vice, with six nominations, and A Star is Born and The Favourite, with five each.

Boy Erased, a gay conversion therapy drama based on a true story, won some praise, including a Best Actor nod for star Lucas Hedges and a Best Original Song in a Motion Picture nod for out actor and singer Troye Sivan's "Revelation."

Can You Ever Forgive Me?, a period drama with actress Melissa McCarthy and actor Richard E. Grant both playing queer, also earned nods for McCarthy and Grant's roles.

And Bohemian Rhapsody, the highest-grossing LGBTQ film of all time, scored two major noms: Best Motion Picture – Drama, and Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for lead Rami Malek, who portrayed out icon Freddie Mercury.

On the television side, The Assassination of Gianni Versace garnered four nods, while The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Homecoming, and Killing Eve were recognized in other major categories.

FX's super queer series Pose was also honored with a Best Drama Series nomination, and Billy Porter received a nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Pray Tell in the series.
