Alison Goldfrapp Directs A Naked Man In The Video For "Everything is Never Enough"
For Goldfrapp's newest music video, "Everything is Never Enough," queer front woman Alison Goldfrapp went behind the camera—and put a naked man in front of it.
Shot in Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, the video sees an unnamed streaker racing through the stark desert landscape, with Goldfrapp in a variety of billowing gowns.
“Volcanic and desert landscapes are the undefinable,” she writes, per Nowness, "They are life and death. Primal and mystical. They are the portal to the soul."
The visuals pair perfectly with the song's lyrics: "Mountains with eyes listen in white heat/To our city of lies/Endless sunshine, flawless/Dreams we lost in a wasteland/We're on fire/We'll eat stars/Everything/Is never enough."
"Everything" is not the first NSFW-ish video on the duo's latest album, The Silver Eye: “Systemagic,” Goldfrapp's first directorial effort, http://www.newnownext.com/goldfrapp-systemagic-video/05/2017/also featured nude dancers gyrating in a religious rite.
